Background

Hospitals employ Non-Consultant Hospital Doctors (NCHDs) to offer round the clock patient care. These NCHDs, who typically work long and unsociable hours are required to submit handwritten time sheets detailing hours worked on site, breaks, ‘on call’ hours, training and leave taken, on a weekly basis for approval.

MediTimeTracker has been developed to speed up timesheet data entry for NCHDs and reduce the time taken by Medical HR to process the timesheets. Automatically produced hours worked reports speed up payroll processing and highlight EWTD issues thus allowing early management intervention.

MediTimeTracker removes the need for Medical Admin to manually calculate the employees’ entitlements by automatically generating reports for effective paid hours and EWTD compliance.

European Working Time Directive.

The European Working Time Directive (EWTD) is designed to ensure that employees, who work long or unsociable hours, have sufficient breaks at work and rest periods between shifts.
